Roland TrueVIS MG2 Series UV Printer/Cutters — MG2-300 and MG2-640
Description
The Roland TrueVIS MG2 Series is Roland DG's new UV roll-to-roll printer/cutter, available as the 30 in. MG2-300 and the 64 in. MG2-640. A new 1.33-inch, 300-npi printhead lifts CMYK throughput to 235.7 ft²/h on the MG2-640 while keeping the smooth gradients and crisp detail TrueVIS is known for.
Single-pass multilayer printing sets the series apart. Three to five layers of colour, white and gloss print in one pass without pulling the media back, so day/night window graphics, backlit prints and textured effects register layer to layer and run as one job in VersaWorks 7.
- EUV5EP UV ink in 1,000 ml pouches — twice the previous 500 ml format — across four fixed configurations: CMYK with orange, red, white and gloss; CMYK with orange, red and double white; CMYK with double white and double gloss; or dual CMYK
- Integrated contour cutting at 10 to 300 mm/s with 30 to 500 gf of blade force, and a take-up unit included as standard
- Automated maintenance: cloth wiper, dedicated cleaning liquid in a 500 ml pouch, and motor-controlled cap-top UV protection
- 7-inch touchscreen with direct printing of prepared VersaWorks 7 jobs; Roland DG Connect for monitoring, job logs and fleet management
- Media to 64 in. (MG2-640) or 30 in. (MG2-300), rolls to 99 lb, 1,800 dpi maximum resolution, built-in UV-LED curing
The MG2-300 suits shops where floor space or power is tight — it draws about 550 W on a 4.1/2.0 A supply. The MG2-640 takes the full 64 in. roll and prints and cuts across 62.9 in.
