UV-LED Printer/Cutters — LG-300 & LG-640
The TrueVIS LG Series brings UV-LED printing to the TrueVIS print/cut platform. Two staggered printheads with built-in ink heaters hold colour stable regardless of shop temperature, and up to nine ink channels cover CMYK plus orange, red, white, gloss and primer — so brand colours, spot gloss and textured effects all come off one device. Available in 30 in. and 64 in. widths.
The LG-640 runs 172 ft²/h in standard CMYK, 229 ft²/h in high-speed and 343 ft²/h in draft. An optimised waveform and new UV lamps do the work — the lamps cure more efficiently, so the speed is usable rather than nominal.
Two staggered 1.4 in. printheads carry heaters that warm the ink before it fires. That removes most of the effect of ambient temperature on colour, and cuts the idle time spent waiting for heads to come up to temperature — the difference is most obvious in winter.
EUV-5-P-7 ink covers cyan, magenta, yellow, black, orange, red, white, gloss and primer. Seven configurations are supported, from double CMYK for speed through to CMYKOrReWhGl for gamut and effects. Independent testing of the LG-640 measured an average gamut volume of 569,004 cubic L*a*b* units — comparable to Roland's gamut-expansion eco-solvent devices — and found the high-density white underlayer lifted gamut on black media by over 30 per cent.
The newly designed 7-inch LCD touchscreen shows media type, media size and remaining capacity at a glance, and puts setup within reach without a manual. Automated media calibration saves both time and material at the start of a run.
A redesigned chassis, an adjustable take-up unit that accepts different roll sizes, and a one-touch media clasp that lets a single operator load a roll. A front heater is included, and the take-up unit ships as standard rather than as an option.
VersaWorks 7 is included, with the True Rich Color 3 preset, Nearest Color Finder and the Variation job function. Roland DG Connect adds a dashboard across every TrueVIS printer on the floor, tracking maintenance and consumables, with alerts when something needs attention.
UV-LED output on a print/cut platform — signage and graphics work, plus the gloss, texture and white-ink effects a UV device makes possible.
The one-touch media clasp lets a single operator load media, and automated calibration measures it without wasting a length of stock.
Double CMYK for throughput, or add orange, red, white, gloss and primer for gamut and special effects — seven configurations are supported.
Two staggered heated printheads lay ink at up to 1,200 dpi while two UV lamps cure it, so output is handleable as it comes off.
Contour cutting runs on the same machine at 10 to 300 mm/s, and the included take-up unit winds finished work for unattended runs.
The LG series runs ECO-UV5 in 750 ml pouches.

Width and throughput. The LG-300 takes media to 30 in. and prints 115 ft²/h in standard CMYK; the LG-640 takes media to 64 in. and prints 172 ft²/h. Everything else — printheads, resolution, ink, cutting and software — is the same across both.
Double CMYK if throughput leads. Add orange and red where brand colours sit outside a CMYK gamut, white for window and dark-substrate work, and gloss or primer for spot effects and adhesion. Seven configurations are supported, so the choice is worth making against your actual job mix.
Keypoint Intelligence tested an LG-640 over five days in 2023 and measured mean spot-colour accuracy of Delta E00 2.08 in highest-quality mode, with only one of twelve brand colours crossing the Delta E00 4.0 visible-difference threshold. That earned a five-star spot-colour rating, which is uncommon for a CMYK device and means less pre-flight correction on brand-critical work.
Yes, and it was tested for exactly that. Across thirteen two-metre panels printed from a 30 m roll, Keypoint Intelligence recorded a maximum variance of 1.53 Delta E00 over a 54-patch control wedge and dimensional drift of just 0.33 mm per metre from the start of the roll to the end — so panels hung side by side still match.
Yes — contour cutting runs on the same machine at 10 to 300 mm/s with blade force from 30 to 500 gf, so printed work is finished without moving it to a separate cutter.
The specified system is the Bofa PrintPRO LEC2, available as an option. Plan for it as part of the installation rather than an afterthought.
A Two-Year Trouble-Free Warranty, with registration required for the second year. Extensions are available to five years total, and registration also brings free online training plus phone and chat support.
