The CoilBind S-15 pairs a 12-sheet manual punch with an electric coil inserter, so coils spin through the holes in seconds instead of being twisted by hand. The full-width handlebar works left-handed, right-handed or with both hands, and a crimper is included in the box.

How to bind a document with the S-15

Punch
Stack up to 12 sheets, set the margin, and pull the full handlebar.

Choose a coil
Pick a coil about 1/16" (2 mm) larger than the stack thickness.

Insert electrically
Start the coil in the first holes and rest the spine on the roller. It spins through in seconds.

Crimp
Trim and bend both ends with the included crimping pliers.

Coils are sold separately. Most users start with a box of 5/16" (8 mm) or 3/8" (10 mm) coils.
Compatible coils and supplies
The S-15 uses 4:1 pitch plastic spiral coils. Choose a coil about 1/16" (2 mm) larger than the thickness of your punched stack so pages turn freely. Sheet counts below are approximate for 20 lb bond (80 gsm) paper.

How many sheets can the CoilBind S-15 punch?
Up to 12 sheets of 20 lb bond (80 gsm) per pull, across 46 holes. Punch in batches to bind documents up to 2" thick.
Does the S-15 include a crimper?
Yes. Coil crimping pliers are included in the box. Coils are sold separately.
Can I insert coils without using the electric roller?
Yes. The electric inserter is optional. You can twist coils through by hand, which some users prefer for very short or very thick documents.
What's the difference between the S-15 and S-20?
Both have an electric inserter and a full handlebar. The S-20 punches 20 sheets per pull instead of 12 and ships with a box of 100 5/16" (8 mm) coils. Both include a crimper.
Is the S-15 suitable for left-handed users?
Yes. The full-width handlebar can be pulled from either side or with both hands.
What paper sizes does the S-15 handle?
Binding edges up to 11.8" (300 mm), which covers letter and A4 on the long edge. Documents slightly longer than 11.8" will have a short unpunched section at one end.
